For a computer science graduate, for a geek who found life’s salvo with hardcore programming and software development at Amazon.com, I was able to connect with this book refreshingly easily.

The book reinforced a lot of my logical analysis and thinking behind the origins of some of the key decision making moments of my life.

This book reinforced that algorithms, math, & computer science do not necessarily operate in parallel universe but are part and parcel of everyday decision making.

Felt really goosebumps / “pull arippu” and “mei silurppu” on many occasions during the course of the book! On many occasions I really really felt this must have been “GOD GIVEN” and only the ALMIGHTY HIMSELF wrote the book. Such depth and such breadth!! I was even more impressed of the sheer brilliance of Vyasar who wrote this book!!

I cannot even start to imagine the opulence and richness of culture, society – the concept of Dharmam, Karma and etc. – that was so well documented and practiced about 2000 years ago!! Its just goes on to prove that a rich heritage and culture flourished, not mere existence, but flourished.. 2000 years ago! And that someone had the command on language and dexterity to document it in such brilliant book!

As hard core liberal and rationalist, I don’t quite agree with many of the aspects mentioned as it doesn’t make much logical sense, but I am awestruck that within constructs of the premises that they / Vyasar has taken up, the narrative and flow of sequence is pretty consistent and “logical” !! – and that In My Humble Opinion (IMHO) -is sheer brilliance!

I bought this when my Kid was about 2.5yrs old, when kids are at “troublesome two” phase, just to make sure if I wasn’t screwing it up!

This book has a lot of very insightful observations. While I was not as bad as I had expected and was quite a bit on the right track, at least as per the book, there were few nuanced tricks that helped me a lot as I was navigating myself in the wilderness of being a first-time parent!

This was supposed to a great book about one of the greatest entrepreneurs of the 21st century, just like Elon Musk, but it seemed like the the author had some sort of grudge or “bad taste” for Jeff Bezos, that the book was more somber, dull and had a “negative connotation”. I would have chosen a better author like Ashlee Vance perhaps to be allowed to write Biography of Jeff Bezos as he is another impactful change maker that needs to be celebrated and admired. Nevertheless a very interesting book to read.

I started listening to “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Book by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lecter on Audible a few weeks ago and just completed the full book a few days ago.

The book was quite interesting and the points seemed very valid , more like common sense action items, that we all probably don’t realize and skip it.

There were a few key points that I thought was particularly interesting.

More than 35% of the entire “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” book talks about Taxes!! It is clear that rich people in USA do not like Taxes!! Throughout the book, it carries the weight of navigating through Taxes to make investments.

Living in Dubai, where there is NO — None-Zero-Zilch-Nada — personal income taxes , all of these content in the book is pleasantly irrelevant.
